About HealDeal
HealDeal is a social venture and was started by a primary care physician who wanted to help her self-pay patients find affordable care. Self-pay patients are those that pay for healthcare services out of their own pocket. They either do not have health insurance or do not wish to use their health insurance for a service.
HealDeal's online portal connects self-pay patients with healthcare providers. Many self-pay patients have the resources to pay for care but lack the information and bargaining power needed to find quality care at an affordable price.
HealDeal promotes market efficiency and transparency and both patients and providers benefit from it. Patients know the cost for a service upfront and directly pay the provider for the service. With the direct pay model, Providers save on billing and reimbursement overheads associated with traditional insurance and thus are able to share these cost savings with the patients.
HealDeal is free for anyone to try, there are no contracts or paid membership requirements.
Currently we are in our beta phase and our goal is to continually expand our services portfolio and geographic coverage.
