What is HealDeal and how can it help me?
HealDeal is a free service for the self-pay market. Self-pay patients pay for healthcare services out of pocket instead of going through an insurance company. They either do not have health insurance or do not wish to use their health insurance for a service.
HealDeal provides the self-pay market with a list of healthcare services to help patients find quality care at an affordable price. Patients can compare provider prices, locations, hours, etc. to find the healthcare services they need.
How does HealDeal work?
It is easy to use HealDeal, just follow these 5 steps:- Receive a referral from a doctor (primary care doctor, ER, nurse practitioner, etc.).
- Go to www.healdeal.com and search for the service the referral physician prescribed. You can search by HealDeal code or name.
- Locate providers that offer the service.
- Compare pricing, hours, location, etc.
- Select the provider and receive the service. Pay the provider the quotes price for the service.
What does it cost to use HealDeal?
HealDeal is free to patients. Although HealDeal provides patients alternatives for care, the patient is not obligated to pay for any quotes received or prices reviewed at HealDeal.com. The actual transition occurs between the patient and the provider.
What steps does HealDeal take to protect my privacy?
HealDeal is dedicated to keeping your information private. We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Please refer to our privacy policy for details.
How does HealDeal complement Consumer Directed Health Plans?
HealDeal allows you to compare healthcare services from providers to find quality care at an affordable price. Consumer Directed Health Plans (CDHPs) typically have a high deductible which means the patient the financially responsible for 100% of the healthcare costs until that deductible is met. Therefore, patients with CDHPs want to find affordable care to maximize their healthcare dollar.
How is HealDeal different from Yellow Pages?
HealDeal specializes in health care. It allows the patient to search for specific healthcare services - this is simply not available in the yellow pages. Most importantly, HealDeal also offers pricing information on the healthcare services it shares. Sharing pricing before the service is revolutionary in healthcare and critical to helping the self-pay market find affordable care. Self-pay patients need to understand pricing before they can commit to a healthcare service to be sure they have a financial plan to pay for the service.
How do I find healthcare services?
Searching for services by HealDeal code or name. Type search text in the search box on the home page or entering search text in the 'Advanced Search' text box. Use search terms that are specific to what you are looking for. As an example, if you are looking for an MRI of the knee type in 'mri knee' in the search text box.
Does HealDeal endorse providers?
HealDeal only allows board certified physicians to join its network and share pricing information on its portal. However, HealDeal does not endorse one network provider over another. HealDeal provides an open marketplace to enable patients to compare prices, quality, convenience, etc. to select a provider. It is the patient's responsibility to select a provider.
How do I search for providers?
Providers can be found by using the 'Search' on the Home page or the 'Advanced Search' on the Advanced Search page. Provider details can be found by clicking on the provider name on the provider-listing page. The credentials can be found in the provider detail page if available from the provider.
